We are saddened to hear about the passing of Fuzzy Zoeller, Louisville and golf icon. Born in New Albany, Indiana, right across the river from our hometown of Louisville, our company had a long-standing relationship with Fuzzy. Using golf clubs manufactured by our parent company, Hillerich & Bradsby Co., he won the 1979 Masters and 1984 US Open.
Residing in the area until his passing, he continued to invest in local golf and tourism. He designed and opened Covered Bridge Golf Course in 1994 and Champion's Pointe in 2007, often hosting tournaments at both. In 2022, he opened a hotel and restaurant. His impact on our area and on the game of golf will not soon be forgotten.
